ABOUT US
Organized since 1991 by the Union of Romanian Architects, Bucharest Architecture Biennale has become the main architectural event in Romania. Since its 1994 edition, it is organized by the team around “Arhitectura” magazine, in collaboration with the Union. Zeppelin Association has been involved as well since 2010.
Representing the Union of Architects from Romania, Arhitectura magazine is edited by Q Group Proiect (QGP). The latest is an independent organization, based on it team technical experience and cultural openness and including architects – researchers as well as practitioners -, designers, artists and a strong department dedicated to cultural management, marketing and advertising. On the professional market, QGP distinguishes through the responsible cultural and intellectual approach of the editorial projects as well as of the other forms of direct interaction with its public (Zeppelin architecture conferences and exhibitions).
QGP edits books dedicated to architecture and to subject in its adjacent fields. Between the most recent titles are to be mentioned: “Magic Blocks” – scenarios for socialist blocks in Bucharest, “Transparent City”, Catalogue of 2008 Bucharest Architecture Biennale, Catalogue of 2006 Bucharest Architecture Biennale, “Remix – fragments of a country” (editions I and II), publication rewarded in 2007 by Bucharest Architecture Annual.
Arhitectura magazine involved in producing wide scope events addressed both, professionals and large public, like over 20 exhibitions and 30 conferences having wide professional and media impact.

> BUCHAREST ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE
• 2008 Bucharest Architecture Biennale, October – November 2008, 8 exhibition and 3 architecture conferences (Bucharest’s National Theatre – Gallery 3/4 MNAC, Romanian Peasant Museum, Art galleries of Bucharest Municipality).
• 2007 – Presentation of the 2006 edition of Bucharest Architecture Biennale in Craiova, Cluj, Oradea, Iasi, Suceava, Brasov, Timisoara, Sibiu.
• 2006 Bucharest Architecture Biennale (Bucharest’s National Theatre – Gallery 3/4 MNAC, 2 November -2 December 2006)
> ZEPPELIN is the most recent brand launched by Arhitectura magazine together with Zeppelin Association at the beginning of 2008. Between 2008 and 2010, 23 conferences followed by happy hours have been organized, bringing as guests nationally and internationally reckoned prestigious architects.

> JUKEBOX CITY: exhibition of Romanian architecture organized in Barcelona (MetRoom, 18 October – 18 November 2007).
> REMIX: project designed for representing Romania on the occasion of the Architecture International Biennale in Venice (September – November 2006), brought later on in Bucharest (Sala Dalles, 7 – 28 June 2007) and Basel (November 2007).
